Adventurous Family Elopement in Glacier National Park
We had so much fun shooting this family elopement in Glacier National Park! Gavin and Anna wanted an adventurous elopement out in the beauty of nature, and they brought their nearest and dearest along to celebrate with them.
Hilarious Moments at this Family Elopement
This couple had their first look at the top of the hotel, and before we embarked on the journey into the park to get them married, they had Taco Bell in their wedding attire--bride's request! It was hilarious.
We also loved the moment when they were about to exchange rings and the groom realized he had forgotten them, so his brother went running to the car in the middle of the ceremony and came running back with them in record time! There are some real perks to having a family elopement.
A Day Full of Unexpected Gifts
Another favorite moment was when we drove through a thick cloud in the parkland and could barely see anything. They were nervous they weren't going to be able to see the mountains, but we leaned into it and had them get out on the road and take photos in the clouds. It was magical and unlike anything we had photographed before! And then when we made it to the ceremony location, it had cleared up enough to see the mountains still.
There was another incredible and serendipitous detail from this family elopement. Anna’s favorite color is purple: she had purple shoes and little details incorporated into her day. When we arrived at Glacier National Park, it turned out that the park was blooming all over with these gorgeous purple flowers! They hadn't been like that on any of our previous Glacier National Park elopements. We made sure to stop and take photos along the way with the flowers for her.

Is this the kind of wedding day you’re dreaming of? If you’re considering an elopement, we’d always say to go for it! There’s nothing quite like the adventurous freedom of setting out into the beautiful wilderness with your love (and, of course, a couple of enthusiastic photographers!)
