Jake and Baylee lived out their coastal dream wedding for this Cape Kiwanda elopement. Done with the stress of planning a big wedding, these two reached out to us for help. What resulted was an adventurous day packed with pure magic. This day was easily one of the most breathtaking elopements we’ve ever captured on camera!
Unexpected Weather Ushers in an Unforgettable Experience
When it was time for the ceremony, the weather turned moody. Sun turned to rain and rain turned to hail. But we weren’t intimidated - we knew it could only add to the romance of the day. Regardless of rain showers, these two were determined to move forward. Setting out from the beach house, Baylee wore her gorgeous floral crown designed by Brier & Ivy and together they ducked under fences and marched right through the rain towards their Cape Kiwanda elopement location - perfectly symbolizing their unwavering love.
Then the wildest thing happened - once the ceremony started it warmed up and the rain completely stopped! This amazing couple became the living embodiment of choosing to weather the storms of life together.
Afterward, everyone met back at the stunning Scandinavian beach house where we had taken first look pictures for an ocean-front charcuterie, champagne dinner, and gorgeous wedding cake made by our favorite local designer, Dream Cakes.
