We've had a full summer with such amazing content! We’ve barely been able to share any of these photos from the summer’s amazing Norway and Nashville adventure weddings and elopements. We are planning to do a series of blogs showcasing this past season's elopements and micro weddings. To get us started, this blog contains our fifteen favorite images from this year’s summer elopements and summer destination weddings.

Adventure Weddings in Norway and Nashville

This is Aaron and Kat from the US. We love this image of their elopement in Stranda. The view of the fjord below and the stunning Sunnmøre Alps all around them evoke such a feeling of majesty. Plus, Aaron and Kat are so in love. He held her so gently before their wedding ceremony.

For elopements in Stranda, we collaborate with the team at Norwegian Cabins so our couples can enjoy accommodations in their luxury cabins at the base of Stranda.

Our new Island Package is perfect for small micro weddings and intimate elopements. These images are from Bjørn Erik and Renate’s island adventure in the charming village of Alnes. They stayed in a gorgeous, modern room at Alnes Brygge, a venue with whom we often collaborate on the island. They are perfect for micro weddings and intimate elopements.

Promise Mountain Elopements

Here’s Carrie and Andrew. This was our first elopement of the season. They were also the first elopement where their family came along with them! It was so special. We love that you CAN elope with your family and best friends! In May, you can often still see snow on the Sunnmøre Alps, making the background so dreamy and ethereal. For elopements in Stranda, we work with Stranda Ski Resort (@strandafjellet) to take the gondola up the mountain to this breathtaking ceremony location. We loved that Carrie’s father was there to walk her down the ‘aisle’ down the mountain for her ceremony. In this image, you can also see Caroline, one of our Promise Mountain team members who is an officiant, photographer, and jack of all trades.

This is Carrie and Andrew Again on Stranda. This was that euphoric moment we have the honor of photographing at the end of the ceremony. We are so lucky to be able to witness such joy!

Geirangerfjord Adventure Elopements

Our most popular adventure elopement collection is the Geirangerfjord elopement package. Geiranger is an iconic location in Norway. That’s where Kim and Regan were married. For their adventure, they took a cruise through the fjord with gorgeous views and we led them to our secret ceremony location where they were married surrounded by epic views of the fjord and mountains. Regan was a total romantic. He was full of surprises for Kim, including a “Notebook” style romantic paddle boat ride in the fjord.

We collaborate with @geraingerfjordservice for transportation into the fjord, and Hotel Union Geiranger @hoteluniongeiranger for lodging. Hotel Union has an incredible spa with a heated pool looking out towards the mountains—the perfect way to unwind after a day of adventure.

Another Geiranger elopement. Marcus and Raphaela are from Austria. Their wedding day was romantic and mysterious. We love how the clouds in the mountains can be so dramatic, giving an entirely different look to the scenery at different times of day.

We loved Raphaela’s bouquet from Binderiet. They are the florist we use for all our elopements and micro weddings!

Norway Elopement Adventures

This is our latest and greatest package location: The Loen Skylift. These images are from Mathias and Kaia’s romantic Loen elopement. We scouted this spot this past year, and we’d been dreaming about it ever since. We’re so happy to be able to include it in one of our elopement packages. Its breathtaking, unreal beauty has made this location our new personal Promise Mountain staff favorite.

We collaborate with @loenskylift and Hotel Alexandra for lodging for these new adventure elopements in Loen.

This is another favorite image, this time of Miuky and Claus in our beloved fjord region. Literally everywhere is beautiful, but we've scouted out all the best places for couples and created packages around these hidden pockets of wonder. We’ve taken all the guessing out of planning an elopement in Norway. This image brings us such joy. You can’t help but smile when you see their happiness.

We love the movement of the rain in this image. We love this couple because they said their vows in the rain and embraced the wildly romantic feel rain can bring. It’s like a scene right out of a Nicholas Sparks novel! This image of Ryan and Cassie from the US was taken at one of our incredible locations near Stranda.

Anniversary Vow Renewal Adventures

This is Petter and Johanna Veiberg, from an anniversary vow renewal we did at our favorite waterfall in the region. They wanted to hold their Bible above their heads as a beautiful symbol of their lifelong promise to each other. We love this one because we believe love is the wildest adventure that exists, and we celebrate the promises.

This is Trine Hege and Odd Sindre. Local to Norway. This was another anniversary session. They booked our *NEW* Island Escape Sailing adventure package! In this amazing elopement package, you can get married (or say your vows again) on an old sailboat, cruising through the fjords. When your ceremony concludes, you will get dropped off on the gorgeous island, Alnes to celebrate together.
