Seven years back, we embarked on an incredible journey as a company. Drawing inspiration from Norway's stunning landscapes, where company founder Michaela Potterbaum spent over a decade exploring, the idea sparked to bring couples together on those majestic mountaintops that had stolen her heart. The vision was born: crafting upscale wedding packages where couples just needed to show up and let the magical adventure unfold.
That's the soul of our mission.
The world has seen a remarkable shift since then, especially with the global pandemic shaking things up. Intimate weddings and elopements have become the name of the game, a trend that's swept across the globe. While big weddings are making a comeback, there's a growing crowd moving past tradition to elope somewhere beautiful, embracing the freedom to make their own rules.
Promise Mountain has unfolded to be a team full of incredible artisans, a mix of those in the spotlight and behind the scenes – that pour their heart and soul into giving our couples the most wonderful journey of a lifetime.

Meet Bethany! She has worked for Promise Mountain since 2022 and has planned over 30 elopements & micro-weddings all over the world. When you book a call with us, she will be the one answering all your questions and giving you all the information you need to decide if an elopement is the right move for you!
Once you’ve booked with us, she will be your right-hand women. Walking with you through the entire planning process to give you a seamless and beautiful wedding day!
When she isn’t planning elopements, she and her husband are fixing up their house and day dreaming about their next overseas adventure!
