Beautiful Horseshoe Bend Elopement Shoot
At first glance, the idea of bringing props out to a photoshoot at Horseshoe Bend seems a little ridiculous. After all, what could possibly improve on such an epic and dramatic landscape? It’s true that a Horseshoe Bend elopement doesn’t really need any added ingredients to be truly special, but for Danielle and Kyle’s elopement shoot out here, we really found the power of a good prop.
One of the sweetest details of this shoot were the photographs this couple had printed out. Physical copies of moments in their relationship (including when Kyle proposed in Sedona, not far from where we were!) provided such a sweet way to reminisce and celebrate how far they had come, and they spread them out on the top of Horseshoe Bend for a beautiful moment.
Sunset Props for this Horseshoe Bend Elopement
Climbing up and down the red rocks here makes for a great adventure, but as the sun sets, it can get chilly! Danielle thought ahead and brought an adorable ‘wifey’ jacket to wear, and we loved the shots of her wearing the jacket standing right over the iconic bend in the Colorado River. It felt like such a joyful and triumphant moment!
But to round off the props that helped elevate this Horseshoe Bend elopement shoot, we had some LED lettering signs spelling out ‘Jones’, their new last name. Bringing those out as the sun was setting and creating a dramatic silhouette was so fun!
