Mary Jane got into an accident weeks before the elopement. We weren’t sure if she could get around the mountain well with crutches...but she was determined not to postpone her wedding! Our team helped her get around effortlessly, and while it was an unexpected and tricky thing to navigate pulling off a Glacier National Park elopement on crutches, we loved her positivity and eagerness to still go through with the wedding!
This couple chose Promise Mountain because we plan everything in our destination elopement so that the newlyweds can just focus on living in their precious moment. So, of course, our team did everything we could to make it the best possible experience, and because of that, the unexpected handicap did not steal from the wedding experience they dreamed about. Philip and Mary Jane even had a really sweet first look moment with her crutches and stole all our hearts.
Family Made this Elopement Perfect
The ceremony, with the soaring peaks rising up behind Philip and Mary Jane with just enough mist hanging to make it all feel moody and atmospheric, was just gorgeous. Mary Jane even cried when she was reading her vows, and I think everyone felt the raw emotion of the moment.
I think my favorite moment of the whole Glacier National Park elopement was when the family all howled together at the ceremony location. They call their family “the wolf pack”, and all the kids rushed in on their parents just after the vows. It was very sweet!
